AEO & GEO

AI-ready websites that bots can read, quote and cite

AI assistants can only recommend what they can read. I make sure your site serves complete, structured, crawlable content to every AI bot, not just to browsers.

How I approach it

The honest version

Most AI crawlers fetch the raw HTML and move on. If your content only appears after JavaScript runs, a bot may see a blank page and a few navigation links. Fixing that is often the single biggest AI visibility win, and it helps traditional SEO too.

This site is built the same way: static HTML, structured data on every page and an llms.txt file. Run it through the free AEO tester and see.

Good questions

AI-Ready Websites FAQs.

Do AI crawlers run JavaScript?

Many don't, or do so inconsistently. Googlebot renders JavaScript, but several AI crawlers read only the raw HTML. Serving your content in the initial HTML is the safe choice.

Is llms.txt required?

No. It's an optional, emerging standard and support varies. It's cheap to add and keep current, so I treat it as a useful extra rather than a ranking factor.

Do I need a new website?

Usually not. Many sites can be fixed with rendering changes, schema and content updates. If your platform makes that impossible, a migration may be worth it.
