Wix websites, done right for SEO

Wix has come a long way. Modern Wix and Wix Studio sites can rank well when the structure, content and settings are handled properly. I build new Wix sites, fix existing ones, and advise honestly when it's time to move.

How I approach it

The honest version

Wix's reputation for poor SEO is mostly out of date. It now offers editable URLs, custom structured data, a redirect manager and server-side rendering. The bigger problems I see are self-built sites with thin pages, no local signals and too many apps.

If your business needs something Wix can't do well, I'll say so and plan a migration that keeps your rankings.

Good questions

Wix FAQs.

Can a Wix site rank on Google?

Yes. Plenty of Wix sites rank well in local and niche markets. Content and structure matter far more than the platform.

Wix or Wix Studio?

Wix Studio suits designers building more complex responsive layouts. Standard Wix is fine for most small business sites.

Is it hard to move off Wix?

Wix doesn't export your design, so a move means a rebuild. Content and URLs can be migrated with a redirect plan.
